Summer School "Frontiers in Photonics and Laser Technologies"

Why this School?

The summer school "Frontiers in photonics and laser technologies" takes place every third week of June organised by the universities of A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo and has been celebrated in the last years in different places in Galicia (NW coast of Spain) like Ferrol, Baiona or Poio.

The school has been planned for graduate students in Engineering and Physics as well as  pre- and young post-doctoral reserchers with a scientific background who are interested on having a wide panoramic of  the main directions of current technologies involving laser light.

To this aim, invited speakers from representative research centers and universities will cover in their talks many different branches of the exciting field of photonics. The relaxed atmosphere of the NW coast of Spain in summer provides the perfect scenario for helping the participants both to discover the current frontiers of photonics as well as some of the famous touristic attractions in Galicia.provide the students the neccessary concepts to understand and employ different laser technologies.
