Why this master?
The main goal of this master is training of new professionals in the field of laser technologies, in such a way that graduates will be prepared to work in R&D departments of photonics industry and/or universities. Thus, the master is clearly focused on practical aspects and it is directed to students with a scientific or technical profile (degree in engineering, physics, etc...).
Training in indutry is also an important part of the studies. It is of great importance in order to give the students a glimpse of their future carrer and also to the university to get a closer view of industry problems related with applied research. The industry will also benefit from advanced techniques that can be developed in the university labs. On the other hand, a Ph. D. program is also offered, for students with a MsC diploma (preferibly in photonics and laser technology) which are interested in joining any of the research lines currently active in different labs in Galicia.

• To give a wide view of the vast world of laser applications and its relationship with industry problems.
• To provide a practical training with dfferent
laser systems and techniques in different fields.
